I: I understand that your dubbing technician was in charge of the dubbing. How did you come about choosing Kimura Takuya?
M: It was a suggestion from my producer. He said that Howl is the most handsome character in the story and it should therefore be dubbed by Japan's most handsome guy. He recommended Kimura Takuya and he probed and tried to find out if I know such a person, haha.
You know that he thought I am the type who never watches TV and that I was the deep mountains type of strange man and wouldn't know young people like him. But when I told him of course I know who was Kimura, he was shocked.
(At this moment, the 70 year old men was laughing heartily and looked child like.)
According to this article, the producer of Howl's Moving Castle did not know Kimura was so famous. He remembered before SMAP was very famous, he once saw Kimura on a tram surrounded by girls who sought his autograph. Kimura blushed badly.
The producer was looking for a voice for the character when Kimura called and he recommended himself. When they heard he was interested, they were all very happy. Kimura said that he didn't mind how small the part is. He just wanted to try dubbing for animated movie. They invited Kimura at once to the studio. When Miyazaki saw Kimura, the first sentence was, "You are so handsome, it should do." It scared Kimura. Luckily, Kimura was talented and didn't have to rehearse too many times. Miyazaki was surprised.
The producer divulged that actually Miyazaki thought that Howl was the personification of himself and everyone laughed silently. When Miyazaki agreed to Kimura's dubbing, his real meaning was that he is as handsome as Kimura.
The movie broke Japan all time high at the box office again.

Ada berita nih, dari Yahoo. Sugoiii, 2film Takuya dipilih para kritisi film New York sbg Best Animated (Howl) dan Best Cinematography (2046). Katanya biasanya pemilihan ini dipakai jadi ukuran utk Oscar nanti. Amin, amin, amiiiin.

N.Y. film critics pick 'Howl's Moving Castle' as best animated film
(Kyodo) _ New York film critics have selected "Howl's Moving Castle," directed by Hayao Miyazaki, as the best animated film of 2005, the New York Film Critics Circle said Monday.
The circle's awards are known as a way to predict the winners of the Academy Awards.
The New York Film Critics Circle gave the same award to "Spirited Away," also directed by Miyazaki, in 2002, and the movie went on to win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature Film of the year.
The circle gave the award for best cinematography to "2046," starring Japanese singer and actor Takuya Kimura, a member of pop band SMAP, and Tony Leung Chiu Wai.

Mau bikin pengakuan nih...
Kemaren gue baru nonton Howl's pasti langsung mikir gini deh "wooi qnuy!!! kemana aja lu? telad banget!!!" ^^
Aduuuhhhh, yg jadi Howl guanteng bangettttt!!! Apalagi pas denger dia ngomong, suaranya Takuya tuh!!! Tiap kali Howl ngomong gue langsung doki2 gitu huehuehue....
Kai-ho-ku chan, kenapa ya gue agak2 dejavu sama adegan pas Sophie bertemu kembali sama Howl. Yg itu tuh, pas Sophie kembali dari masa kecilnya Howl trus dia ngampirin Howl yg masih berwujud monster trus nyium Howl. Adegan itu kok bikin gue inget sama komik Dunia Mimpi ya? Eh, elo baca gak ya komiknya? Gue ngebayangin Howl itu serupa dengan Izaku dan Sophie kayak Noriko. Di Dunia Mimpi kan Izaku juga jadi monster tuh (Guanteng pulak!!) trus satu2nya orang yg bisa bikin dia jadi manusia lagi adalah Noriko. Hmm....Howl dan Sophie mengingatkan gue dengan Izaku dan Noriko. Gue jadi kepengen baca lagi komiknya setelah nonton Howl's.
Gue suka banget waktu Sophie bersih2 rumahnya Howl. Lucu banget, nenek2 dengan semangat 45 ^^ Calcivernya juga lucu 
Mau nonton lagi ah....

Baru tau. Ternyata ada yg lebih murah dari cdjapan ya tapi kalo belinya 2. Gw baru ngecek www.hmv.co.jp niy. Liat DVD Howl's. Ada 2 harga. Yang satu harganya 3.948 yen, yg satu lagi 7.140 yen. DVD sample bang aja "cuma" 6.720 yen, tapi sekali lagi kalo belinya dua ya.. Hayooo...sapa yg mo beli hehehe...
Kalo ada yg berniat beli SMAP stuff disini kontek2 ya, sapa tau gue berminat, dan kalo duitnya ada ^^ lumayan lho, bisa ngehemat cukup banyak.

kalo yang asli cuma ada wwcr ma subber baratnya..takuyanya ga ada dech!!! tapi kalo ngubek2x hehe ada yang pernah posting pas takuya itv buat promo Howl dech..!!!
yang lengkap bgt tuh DVD japan version yah di yessasia cuma seratusan dech Qnuy (kalo g salah)..^0^
Pic booknya juga dah ada kalo dirupiahin harganya sekitar 180rb...!! DVD Howl gw liat kmr harganya sekitar 29 sing dlr,VCD 19 sing Dlr yang asli di HMV...!!! oya info aja di mangdu dah ada yang copian kedua bagus kok gbnya....hehe kali ini ada tulisan takuya kimuranya

Eh, kira2 seiyuu diundang ke acara Oscarnya nanti ga ya? Takuya kira2 diundang ga ya? Norika Fujiwara yg dubbing versi Jepang The Shriek aja diundang ke Cannes waktu filmnya diputer di sana dan jelas2 film yg diputer versi aslinya yg bhs Inggris. Kan Howl aslinya bhs Jepang...
