Hundreds of fans from South Korea and Japan gathered amid joyful shouts and a frenzy of camera flashes when Lee Byeong-Heon and Takuya Kimura showed up together at Paradise Hotel in Pusan last Thursday. The rendezvous of the two superstars was quite a sizzling event in the southern port city.
The meeting was made as Lee signed a contract with Fuji TV to make a cameo appearance in Kimura's new film "Hero". Kimura visited the port city with the filming crew to shoot on location for the cinematic version of the Japanese hit drama.
Overwhelmed by the welcoming fever, the two stars expressed their excitement of working together and expressed hope that it will result in success.
"I've seen a lot of commercials by Lee in Japan", Kimura said during a news conference at the hotel. "He has this angelic smile and is a powerful actor with huge impacts on the audience. I think simply working with him in the same place and same time will be of a great honor".
Lee also expressed his confidence in working with Kimura, saying that their first conversation was as if they had known each other before.
"In the past when I didn't know much about Japanese film culture, I visited Japan to shoot a music video", Lee said. "And everywhere I went, I saw advertisement boards with this handsome man, who I later learned was Kimura. It gave me a strong impression about the actor".
Lee will play a Korean prosecutor who aids a Japanese counterpart, played by Kimura in the film. For the preparation, Lee said he watched a two-hour special edition of the drama, and its attraction is that the series deals with crime-related stories in a humorous way.
"When I first got the offer, I was worried if I might ruin the film", Lee said. "But sadly, my appearance in the film is quite short, and I guess my job will be to be part of the film without giving the impression that I'm there".
Although Lee's appearance will be short in the film, Kimura expressed high expectations for Lee's contribution to the work.
The conference was only for the news media, but the front gate of the hotel was crowded with nearly 300 hundred fans who waited to see their stars entering the hotel from their cars, which lasted 10 seconds.
Earlier, hundreds of his fans flocked to the Kimhae International Airport in Pusan to see Kimura up-close. Many of the fans had waited for two days while chanting his name and singing songs for him.
"I've seen a lot of passionate Japanese fans of Korean wave (Hallyu) stars, who flocked to the Narita Airport to welcome them to Japan", Kimura said. "Now I feel like here I have become one of the Korean wave stars in Japan".
Lee is filming his new movie, "The Good, the Bad and the Weird", by director Kim Ji-woon, and had to have two days off to film "Hero" in Pusan.
The original drama debuted in 2001 on Fuji TV, starring Kimura and Takako Matsu, and it recorded the highest viewer ratings with more than 30 percent at the time. Even in Korea it was broadcasted on cable and satellite televisions _ a far less successful showing than in Japan.
The Japanese star is scheduled to leave the country May 1 after the filming concludes.

Gue hari ini donlot HERO syuting!!
Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Takuya bener2 berubah dari Teppei yg cool dan dewasa ke Kuryu yg bego2 pinter. Tampang Kuryu itu loh! Adegan pas Kuryu ngejar mobil, pake baju yg sama sekali jauh dari rapi (Teppeinya lgsg hilang  ). Padahal Takuya cuma lari lho, tapi ada cewe yg sampe jerit2 panik! gue pikir kenapa. Ternyata dia bilang "MOOUUUUUU...............!!! MECHAMECHA KAKKOIIIII............!!!!! ADUUUHH.. GIMANA NIH???" sambil nangis trs diketawain temen2nya.
Duh, kalo gue disitu ikutan kejet2 juga kali yaaa......!!
Ada Matsu juga kok. berarti Matsu ikut ke Korea juga. Dikasih lihat juga pas Takuya ngobrol sama Lee. Kata reporternya mrk ngobrol pake English.
Sayang disayang, kayanya gue udah gak berani donlot yg lainnya lagi. Meteran speedy larinya kayak kuda. masak baru 2 hari udah 350mb. pdhal gw donlot br hari ini 80mb-an.

kursi2 depan pasti penuh sama smappies. petugasnya pasti heran, kok mendadak kursi2 paling depan penuh...nuh...
padahal biasanya org kan paling ga mau ntn bioskop di kursi plg depan

maksudnya setuju gw minta kopian dari guri dan setuju nonton hero movie di tempat paling keren di jakarta! secara klo tgl 8 sept kan masih awal bulan, masih sanggup deh 
sugoi banget, takuya bisa langsung lepas imej dari teppei ke kuryu. bener2 seperti ngeliat kuryu 6 taun yang lalu!

Pas gw uka thread ini gw seneeeeng bgt dg berita perkembangan HEro ampe2 nangis (iini beneran lho...mata gw beraer ). Gw kangeeeeeeeeen bgt pengen liat mereka berdua lagi di satu layar...seminggu ini Hero, LoveGen dan semua SXS yg ada matsu-nya abis gw puter...dan itu berulang-ulang...(huaaaaaaaa.....Hero cepet tayang donkkkkkk)

It is reported that Kimura has completed the shooting of HERO the movie, his last scene being shot in a garden in Tokyo with Matsu Takako. Kimura said, "It's rare to be able to work with such a fine crew and cast. The next time we get to get together would have to be when the movie would be released." The movie would be released on September 8, 2007.

Gue udah liat2 exhibition HERO STREET di Odaiba kemaren^^ Satu koridor gitu isinya HERO semua. Duh, foto2 Takuya yg dipamerin, cakep2 semuaaa!!! yappari, Kuryu looks is the best!!*v*
Terus ada display buku catetan ttg bahasa Korea, dan catetan2 tambahan di script-nya dia, tulisan Takuya.
Setiap karakter ada section-nya sendiri. Jadi section karakter Endo-san nih, ada display kostum baju dia yg dipake di filmnya, trus preview screen disitu lebih fokus ke Endo-san. Keren!^^
Gue paling ENJOY section-nya AMAMIYA!!! Karena preview screen-nya lebih ke sisi ROMANTIS filmnya!! Kyaaaa!!! Kuryu-Amamiya love story continues!! Gue seneng banget liatnya!!! Mengobati kekecewaan kita akan sedikitnya crita Kuryu-Amamiya di SPnya... di filmnya, love story-nya cukup di-ekspos!! Haduuuh, senengnyaaaa!!! xD
Ada adegan Kuryu-Amamiya duduk di bench di luar, trus Amamiya ketiduran di pundak Kuryu, haha! Tapi kali ini ama Kuryu, kepala Amamiya diangkat trus didorong donk! Jahat banget! Tapi kocak, lol!!
Trus ada adegan Kuryu-Amamiya lagi makan-minum bareng rekan2 kerjanya, mereka duduk sebelahan, trus si Amamiya kayaknya lagi mabok. LOL! Ngomongnya kan jadi blak2an gitu! Trus Kuryu-Amamiya rada brantem ...chooo kawaiii!!!
Kuryu: Kenapa musti gue yang telpon/kontak(renraku) loe duluan??!
Amamiya: Emangnya musti aku yang telpon duluan?!!
haha... mungkin selama 6 taon, Kuryu-Amamiya terlalu gengsi untuk telpon2an, jadi sama2 ngambek deh xD
Trus adegan pas mereka jalan, Amamiya kayak marah gitu ama Kuryu..
Kuryu: Sejak gue balik, kok kayaknya loe marah terus sih?
Amamiya: Kadang2 kalo 6 taon udah berlalu, orang bisa berubah... iya kan??
Paling cute, waktu mereka di Korea, trus berdua kompakan nyapa orang Korea dengan senyum lebar, "Anyonghaseo!!!". Aduuuh, gue cinta banget deh, ama pasangan ini!!!^0^
Trus si jaksa cewek, Nakamura bilang ke Amamiya, "Ngaku aja deh, kamu sebenernya seneng kan Kuryu-kun balik? Desho?".
Abis itu, adegan2 sweet en mayan serius-nya, Amamiya tiba2 meluk Kuryu, "Kuryu-san!", en Kuryu kaget... kyaaaa~~~~~!!!!^0^
Duh, tapi ada adegan yg bikin gue khawatir neh >_< Amamiya kayaknya ke-tusuk di Korea, dia triak kesakitan. Kuryu syok liatnya abis itu triak, "Amamiyaaaa!!!!!!!".
Trus ada dialog-nya Kuryu, "Ada seseorang yang sangat penting bagiku, yang harus aku tolong!!".
Hiks... jangan sampe sad ending yah *_* Tapi adegan terakhir di taman bareng Matsu kan?? Harusnya sih, safe2 aja xD
Oh!! Ada bokapnya Matsu lagih, si pak Koshiro!!! Hyaaa~~~ kakkoiii~!! Jadi pengacara tangguh gitu kan. Apalagi pas beliau papasan ama Kuryu di koridor. Pas udah lewat, sama2 berhenti dan nengok ke belakang.... kayak yang RIVAL BERAT gitu. Hyaaa, keren banget adegan ini!!!^0^
Gak sabaaaarrr!!!

Gak sad ending kali lah Yan. Kalo sad ending ntar musti harus kudu wajib ada HERO MOVIE 2 yg hepi ending.
