"I would not limit myself. Acting does not have a boundary." Kimura was interviewed by Japanese Sports Magazine and he said that he felt a bit suspicious and dissatisfied with his own star power in the SMAP song performance. The reason that the SMAP albums sell well is because the team worked hard on it and it does not represent each person's performance ability. In order to live up to his own standard of acting performance, Kimura did not accept any drama series since the end of last year to the early part of this year. He also temporarily stopped all music performances so as to concentrate on the new movie. For this movie, Kimura put on ancient head gear and practice basic skills of samurai swords. Kimura said, "It's very refreshing! The story is during the period wher samurais have knotted hair, carried swords and used martial art. During shooting I couldn't choose which way to be involved in the movie and so I plunged into the swimming pool to thing of a way to adapt." During the interview, Kimura said that he is suspicious of his present music work. He said, "We put in our energy into the music but acutally the lyrics and the songs have been chosen carefully over and over by the staff, and they thought over and over again for us, and then they handed them to us to express it. We did not have to suffer or worry about composing the music. We are just a bit ahead to introduce such new songs to the others and so we recorded it." Bushi no Ichibun would finish shooting by this summer and will be released simultaneously in the US. The director also planned to submit the movie to Venice Film Festival. At 33, Kimura who planned to start out in the movie world said, "This year, I would start off with this movie and in this direction and would learn from this experience." Kimura who believes that acting is limitless will enter the international movie arena with this big production.
