Seeking a man? Hire a detectiveWm. Penn / Special to The Daily Yomiuri Think of the great fictional TV detectives and what names come to mind? European sleuths Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple are at the top of my list. Across the Atlantic, Columbo and Jessica Fletcher of Murder She Wrote stand out. Japan too has a plethora of clever detectives to choose from. Among the most enduring are Detective Yasuura of the now retired Hagure Keiji Junjoha series and Kosuke Kindaichi, the mysterious, distinctively caped case solver who has been brought to life by numerous actors over the years. Most recently, Goro Inagaki of SMAP has played the role, and he will return in a third Kindaichi special to be aired during the New Year holidays. Another of Japan's most famous TV detectives is Furuhata Ninzaburo, played by veteran actor Masakazu Tamura in a soft-spoken, bungling and yet oh-so-clever style reminiscent of Peter Falk's Columbo. As with Columbo, most episodes of Furuhata Ninzaburo feature a famous guest, who is usually assigned the role of the murderer. The program began as a continuing series back in 1994 and has returned with sequels at regular intervals. But, as Detective Yasuura did earlier this year, Furuhata is ready to bid his loyal audience farewell. Scriptwriter Koki Mitani plans to retire his famed detective, and he will go out in style with a series of special episodes run on three consecutive nights during the New Year holidays. The days and times have not yet been set, but the cast of special guest stars has been released. Koji Ishizaka and Tatsuya Fujiwara will appear on the first night and Nanako Matsushima on night three. But they really hit a home run with the guest they have planned for night two. He is one of the most famous faces on Japanese TV although, to my knowledge, he has never appeared in a drama before. Very seldom has he even appeared on a variety show. He has increased his TV commercial appearances of late and everyone in the country knows him by his first name. Yes, you've guessed it. The second episode will feature baseball superstar Ichiro. Stay tuned. The clever detective is one of the last strong male roles left on Japanese TV nowadays. When it comes to portraying strong, powerful, fearless types, it is women who are being chosen for all the choice roles nowadays. Just look at this quarter's lineup. Tetsuya Watari in Jukunen Rikon has the best male role of the season, but thus far he has come across as a stubborn, silent, bewildered and ineffectual father. The bullied husband in Oniyome Nikki is just plain silly. The brother on Kiken na Aneki is portrayed as weaker than his big sister. The big four poor-little-rich-boys on Hana Yori Dango all display a tough veneer that hides delicate and wishy-washy psyches. Even Suke-san and Kaku-san on Mito Komon are not as powerful-looking as they once were. The father on the NHK morning serial Kaze no Haruka comes across as well-intended but merely deserving of pity. Most of the other men on that series are also portrayed as soft and incapable of taking care of themselves without a powerful female around. Last season's big hit was the totally hapless and helpless Densha Otoko. Yes, it is definitely hard to find a strong male lead in the continuing drama lineup anymore beyond the detective genre. The trend may begin to change next quarter as some stronger male roles show up in the winter lineup, but one of the most promising winter series with a strong male lead does still cast their man as a detective--but a detective with romance on his mind. In a promising new venture, TBS will be offering Rondo, a continuing series with a joint Japanese-South Korean cast. Starting in January in the Sunday, 9 p.m. slot, Yutaka Takenouchi stars as Sho, a tough and attractive Japanese detective, who will be romantically paired with none other than Choi Ji Woo (of Winter Sonata and Beautiful Days fame). Sho's father was killed in Korea when he was a child, and the plot will have a suspense touch as he solves a case while falling in love with Yu Na (Choi). It will be Choi's first attempt at a Japanese drama, but she will no doubt make it a ratings winner. We are barely midway through the autumn season and the January dramas are already the big news. SMAP's Shingo Katori is attracting a lot of advance publicity for his upcoming role in yet another interpretation of the classic Chinese tale Saiyuki, which will air in the Fuji network's Monday, 9 p.m., slot starting Jan. 9. Eri Fukatsu also stars in this one. Another program that will be retiring at the end of the year is NHK's Project X. Its final special on Dec. 28 will feature highlights from past shows. It will be replaced Jan. 10 by a new show that focuses on the lives of busy professionals from a variety of fields. Perhaps, NHK feels it has done as much as it can with the Project X concept, which introduced the often inspiring stories of the quietly persevering, behind-the-scenes heroes responsible for some of Japan's greatest postwar achievements, but this is hardly the time to be taking one of their most acclaimed shows out of the lineup. It has been another horrible year for the public broadcaster, with user-fee payers continuing to stampede out the door. A bad year was made even worse earlier this month when network executives were forced to make an on-air apology after a young NHK staffer in Shiga Prefecture, who claimed his superiors had been tough on him, confessed to multiple acts of arson. Heee.....Goro main di Kindaichi ya? Aduh, gomen gue gak pernah nonton versi doramanya Kindaichi sih. Jadi penasaran....

Kyaa.......Tatsuya Fujiwara , aduh, gue lagi kesengsem berat nih sama cowok yg satu ini sejak ngomongin shinsengumi, sampe kebawa mimpi kemaren malem, mimpinya romantis banget lagi, I woke up smiling hihihihi....Mmm....gue gak terlalu suka liat Masakazu Tamura nih, abis gayanya itu lho...sok banget (tuntutan skenario kali yee...) Tapi ada Nanako Matsushima juga, I like her . IChiro? Kalo yg ini gue gak tau. Duh, jadi gak sabar. Kira2 bakalan keluar di selebes gak ya?

Goro udah beberapa kali dapet peran utama di dorama2 sp detektif =)

1998. Meitantei - Akechi Kogorou "Edogawa Rampo no Injuu"

2000. Meitantei - Akechi Kogorou "Sankaku Kan no Kyoufu"

2004. Inugamike no Ichizoku (jadi detektif Kosuke Kindaichi, tapi yg ini bukan Kindaichi yg muda di komik itu, yg ini Goro jadi kakeknya si Kindaichi yg di komik itu yg juga detektif, tapi tentunya ceritanya waktu si kakek masih muda hehe)

2004. Yatsu Hakamura (jadi detektif Kosuke Kindaichi lagi)

Dan yg akan tayang January 2006, Goro jadi detektif Kosuke Kindaichi lagi.

Goro sering banget nih jadi detektif! Hehe. SMAP member lain yg pernah jadi detektif itu, sapa ya... Tsuyoshi pernah jadi polisi detektif di TEAM. Yg lain kayaknya ga pernah deh...

Hiks...gue pengennya semua Kindaichi Kousuke specials di-subs deh...sulit dimengerti kalo gak ada sub, kayak TRICK 

Btw, Kindaichi Kousuke ini musiknya dan gaya bikin filmnya mirip Indiana Jones deh, hihi....  Kindaichi Kousuke jadi kayak gabungan antara Indiana Jones dan Sherlock Holmes!!^_^  Setting taonnya kan sama, 1930-40an^^

Gue cuma punya novel english seri Kindaichi pertama, Inugamike no Ichizoku....jadi cuma ngerti jalan crita yg ini....yg 2 terakhir ini gak ngerti x)

Waktu sabtu kemaren ke selebes gue dapet dorama sp kindaichinya Goro. Ada 2 cd. Ini sama ama yg mo elo donlot ya Mir? Gue begitu liat ada gambar Goro langsung gue ambil, gak liat2 lagi. Pas di bis baru ngeh kalo itu Kindaichi hehehe...Blom ditonton sih, tipi di rumah error lagi gak mau nyala. Mengesalkan huhuhu...

Shingo! Hehe...detektif2an =P  Di Toumei Ningen alias Invisible Man....jadi reporter sih....tapi reporter bandel yg suka nyelidikin kasus....jadi ceritanya kayak cerita detektif juga, ...nyerempet2^^

Oh iya....satonaka...gimana, udah nonton dorama detective-nya Goro yg kemaren gue pinjemin?? Yang Akechi Kogorou 1998 itu lho....gue belon nonton full, rada "ngeri" xD  Tapi critanya bagus gak? Kayaknya mendingan Kindaichi ke mana2 yah? xD

Btw, Goro di Jooubachi pake rambut palsu yah?? hihihi....

Gw suka Tsu di TEAM! Cakeeeppphhh...!!!

Detective Story of Goro udah gw tonton Yan, malam itu juga. Dasar sableng, si P.S (panggilan sayang terbaru gw untuk dear Goro) itu ngelakuin hal yang lebih edan lagi dibanding Love w/ No Lies! Ga bagus ah ceritanya! Gw lebih sayang Kindaichi, dengan garuk2 kepalanya itu. Novelnya tinggal dikit lagi neh, dan gw suka bacanya karena lebih detil dibanding doramanya (atau karena gw akhirnya ngerti, kemarin itu gw nonton apa??? hehehe). Jadi mustinya dorama Kindaichi dibikin lebih panjang yaaa, hehehe...

Yang kemarin2 Goronya juga rambut palsu kan?

Novelnya tinggal dikit lagi neh, dan gw suka bacanya karena lebih detil dibanding doramanya (atau karena gw akhirnya ngerti, kemarin itu gw nonton apa??? hehehe).  Jadi mustinya dorama Kindaichi dibikin lebih panjang yaaa, hehehe...

Yaps....kayaknya bagusan bukunya ya?? Realisasi doramanya kayak ada yg kurang gitu...  Apa karena gue baca bukunya duluan? x)  Tapi Goro as Kindaichi keren doooong, pas!!^^

Iyaaa....harusnya Kindaichi Kousuke dibikin serial ajaaa....!!^o^   Daripada drama spesial berulang2 gitu x)

Eh iya, kalo engga salah, yg seri ke-2 Yatsu Hakamura, juga rambut palsu ya?? x)  Tapi gue tahu, yg seri pertama, Inugamike, itu rambut aslinya Goro...karena emang rambutnya dia lagi model kayak gitu...waktu drama sp itu keluar^^

Ooo Shingo pernah to? Gue belon liat...

Btw, beneran deh ya, kita harus segera men-sub Kindaichi series. Gue nontonnya sangat2 meraba2 sekali x)

Yan, kayaknya loe harus me-rangkum isi novel Inugami semuanya x) soalnya gue cuman ngerti keluarga Inugami kaya, sang bapak meninggal, ninggalin uang yg banyak (??), si bapak itu punya 3anak perempuan, 3perempuan itu masing2 punya 1 anak laki2. Si Ai Kato itu siapa? Trus cowo yg mukanya rusak itu cucunya bapak yg meninggal itu juga ya?

Kalo Yatsu Haka Mura, gue aga2 nangkep sih, tapi ga tau juga kalo tangkepan gue itu emang betul x) Cuman terakhir2nya gue jadi ga ngerti. Siapa laki2 yg sama ibunya Tatsuya di gua itu? Bapak kandungnya Tatsuya? Trus si pembunuhnya itu apa hubungannya ama keluarga itu? Kenapa kok dia ampe terkaget2 waktu Kindaichi ceritain sesuatu?

Heee Goro pake rambut palsu di Joubachi? x) Kalo Joubachi gue nangkep juga sedikit2. Pertanyaan gue apa sebenernya hubungan foto2 itu dengan kasusnya? Si cewe itu sebenernya anaknya sapa? Cowo yg udah meninggal ato bapak2 yg punya hotel? Trus kakek2 tua itu kakeknya si cewe kan? Tapi dia itu siapa sih? Kok kayaknya pejabat tinggi gitu. Trus kenapa dia nyuruh cowo yg di kabaret itu utk jadi suami si cewe?

Maap2 jadi kalap gitu nanyanya x) Sebenernya masih ada seabrek pertanyaan. Ayo donk kita sub...

Nah, berhubung novel Inugami gue lagi ada di satonaka, dan dia masih fresh baru baca. Jadi bagaimana kalo semua pertanyaan...silahkan, satonaka yg menjawab. Gue juga udah lupa2 gitu ceritanya... xD

Iya nihhh....ayo, sapa kek, gitu nge-sub!! Tega banget deh...di d-addicts enggak ada fans Goro yak...=(  Asuka juga...kan pdhal bagus banget...kok, enggak ada yg niat ngesub ya, di d-addicts....pdhal Kaikyou-nya Tsu di-sub....

Wah pertanyaan Kai-ho-ku mo dijawab akan makan banyak space neh, soalnya begitu banyak misteri yang njelimet. Si bapak yang meninggal itu, Inugami Sahei memang meninggal surat wasiat yang menyatakan kepada siapa ia menyerahkan kekayaan dan kerajaan bisnis Inugami. Justru surat wasiat itu yang jadi sumber malapetaka, karena di dalamnya Sahei yang dingin dan tidak punya kasih sayang sama sekali kepada 3 putrinya yang terlahir dari gundik yang berbeda, menyerahkan kendali kepada Nonomiya Tamayo - cucu Nonomiya Daini, orang yang pernah merawat Sahei - yang tidak punya hubungan darah sama sekali dengan keluarga Inugami. Tadinya... sampai terungkap kalau Tamayo sebenarnya adalah...

Ai Kato itu yang mana ya? Di bukunya ga ada... Ngomong2 nama, kan Sahei punya seorang anak cowok lagi namanya Shizuma Aonuma. Gw bacanya Aoi Inazuma mulu, hehehe...

Cowok yang mukanya rusak itu betul cucu Sahei dari putrinya yang paling tua, bernama Kiyo. Nah tapi ini gw agak bingung, soalnya di doramanya kan Shizuma juga mukanya rusak karena waktu bayi ia dibakar 3 putri Sahei, tapi di bukunya ngga ada cerita klo Shizuma mukanya rusak. Tp gw blom abis baca bukunya, harus baca ampe abis karena byk rahasia2 ngejelimet!

Yan, gw dari dulu udah bercita2 pengen ngesub dorama2, dimulai dari dorama2nya Goro. Makanya sekarang gw mulai menjalani '2 kehidupan' neh. Minna, doain gw yah mudah2an rezeki gw lancar, onegai, mohon doanya banget. Gw akan kerja keras demi cita2ku ini! YOISHO!

Aahh, gw juga mau baca novelnya.. Mang judul yang lain nggak ada novelnya ya?

O ya, kabar baik, gw ud selesai donlot "Yatsu Haka Mura, Kindaichi Kousuke Series", kualitas mantap. Yang inugami e masih progress, soalnya guede, 1 GB, dan agak2 terengah-engah donlotnya.

Nanti kalo ud selesai kita sub ya!!!!

Sudah selesai! Novelnya sudah selesai dibaca!  Bener2 cerita yang rapi. Gw selalu kagum ama penulis cerita misteri dengan ketelitian mereka, apa mereka nulisnya dari belakang ke depan yaaa?
